Been bringing my cars here for around 20 years. They stay busy because they do good work. Brought in my Buick Verano to get a wheel bearing replaced. The mechanic not only replaced the bearing, but found another issue, that was in need of repair. Because they had done some major work on this car a few weeks earlier, they took care of both repairs and just charged for the wheel bearing replacement. They went above and beyond anything I expected.

I came to Muffler and Go firstly after my catalytic converter was stolen. The guys were able to get me on the road the same day before my insurance company even responded to the claim at a discounted price. I next came in for a transmission flush when my transmission acted up. This resolved the issue at an affordable price. Today I came in for a brake leak. They built a whole new line for just 300.00 a job that runs over 500.00. This shop truly cares for the everyday hard-working customer with payment plans and options. Plus, there's coffee and comfortable lounge area.

I bought a car and the turbo charger was going on it. The dealer sent it to them to get it fixed. They put in a new one and after I got it back I drove it one day and it was burning oil. The dealer had me take it back and it was a bad turbo charger. They replaced it in 2 days. Everything is now working great on the car.

I called to see how long it would take to get an appointment to have my muffler replaced, oil changed and tires rotated, thinking it would be 2-3 weeks, like the dealership. He asked if I could have it in the next day. I said "Sure!" I dropped it off at 8 am, had a call at 12:30 pm saying it was complete. He said tires were not rotated because they needed to be replaced badly. I will use them again for my vehicle's service needs.

I originally took my truck in for service on my cat converter. It was not corrected properly the first time and they worked the issue until resolved. They continued to work with me resolving an engine light issue that was centered around poor workmanship at a Holly shop for engine rebuilding that was bad. The owner worked with me several times to help correct someone else's mess that cost a LOT. Fingers crossed my issue has resolved thanks to the help of Chris and his team.

I came in with my F150, dumping gas. My gas range was decreasing 1 mile for every quarter mile. I panicked thinking my gas tank or hose was leaking. I drove straight to Muffler and Go in Fenton. The guys were very nice, the waiting room is extremely clean and nice! They checked my truck and test drove it to test the fuel consumption. Ended up being a false alarm. Best part - they did this out of the kindness of their heart. I'll definitely make this my main automotive service shop in the future. Great people, happy I found an honest and friendly shop!

I'm a repeat customer....that fact alone says a lot. Muffler & Go offers quality repairs at a reasonable price. The 2 repairs I've had them perform on my vehicle were done with short notice. They were able to complete the repairs in a reasonable timeframe. I like the fact they are capable of handling a wide range of repairs (they replaced all brake & fuel lines for one repair and replaced a leaking power steering line for the other repair). If I could find a fault with their service I would say it involves providing updates on repair status....but it's a minor issue considering the big picture of why we go to auto repair shops.....to get quality repairs at a reasonable price. Overall I'm a satisfied customer.

My power steering pump siezed up and I had to have my Durango towed here. I live over an hour away so I wasn't happy taking my car to a place I was unfamiliar with. Originally Chris said he can only find an OEM pump which cost a ton to get from Dodge. But he spent an entire day trying to find a 3rd party pump and ended up finding one for 1/3 of the price. He also didn't charge me extra for it or the shipping. Basically paid wholesale price for it. They were professional on the phone and saved me a lot of money in the long run. Doubt I'll ever go back since I don't live out there lol, but anyone in the Fenton area, don't hesitate

Here's what's interesting about this review. It's a hybrid of what I've heard about Chris and Muffler and Go and what they didn't do. I went to Firestone and Tuffy. Both gave me estimates for COMPLETELY different things - all suspension related and all costly. My ma has used Muffler and Go for over 20 years on all her different cars both import and domestics. She recommended that I bring my car to Chris and muffler and go saying they've been able to repair all her issues - engine, suspension, tires, electrical, etc. And so I drove an hour to have Muffler and Go look at it. The technicians found NOTHING wrong with my car. Chris and his team saved me 1K... yes a thousand dollars. This, to me, is just as important, if not even more so, than a repair. It's about finding a business that you can trust. A business that doesn't see a high repair/profit bill and a one time customer but instead sees you as a long term customer and wants to just do what's right.

I never caught the names of the guys who helped me but I came in because someone's tire blew in front of me and I couldn't avoid without going in the ditch so I took some damage to the engine splash shield/under cover for my car. This is a great place to take your business. We just picked up my 1967 Camaro from having some work done on our high performance exhaust system. The owner met us at the door and listened closely to us tocbe sure he understood the problem we were having. Amazing and Honest! Muffler & Go saved us. We were traveling back home from Northern Michigan with at least 4 more hours to go when our brakes started to grind and smoke on the highway. I had my transmission rebuild here late January and Chris really worked with me on a price I could afford seeing as it is a costly repair. He walked me through everything he was doing and even sent me a personal video of a part direly needed replaced. I returned today to get my car checked out since there was a check engine light continuously coming up and taking it out to muffler and go they were able to find the problem and get me back on road. We have been using muffler and go as our mechanic for the last 4 years or so. Chris is great to deal with. Very reasonable prices and quick service. Chris went above an beyond today for us after purchasing a used vehicle that had an issue. He not only fixed the problem, but made sure the issue wasn't worse than just the repair needed to get it back on the road. Chris has always been very honest and I won't take my vehicles anywhere else!

Chris (the owner) runs a stellar business in a great location. He and his team went way above and beyond to get an exhaust problem fixed on my Cadillac, and even hand delivered the car back to my business.
